20 Paris Postcards circa 1932

£9.99

Product description

20 black-and-white postcards of Parisian buildings and scenes, in their original envelope and not posted. The year is unclear, but French descriptions found for similar items say "before 1935." Produced by  Compagnie des Arts Photomechanique, Paris (formed in 1932). All in excellent condition, the envelope is only slightly bumped. 10 of them have, in very neat handwriting, a description of the scene or building depicted; they are written in English, seemingly by a well-informed British National who was living there, rather than a tourist. One of them is particularly fascinating; it reads "You will note Dad in the foreground ..."

Oxfam Bookshop Hexham

We relocated in January 2016 to larger premises and are now able to offer a wider range of books and music (you can come and check out your musical choices in our listening booth and also find out a lot more about Oxfam's work.). We have a new local interest section, more space for history and have extended our craft and arts offer.  We also sell cards, fair trade food and ethical cleaning and beauty products.

Hexham is a market town situated in the beautiful Tyne Valley - the ideal stopping off point before exploring Hadrian's Wall, Chesters, Housesteads and the Temple of Mithras at Carrawburgh.
