The old lady Szöcs lives in a small Hungarian town. She has just lost her husband, Vince and is alone. Iza, her daughter and a reputed doctor, takes her mother to live with her in her apartment in Budapest. Then begins a difficult relationship, well intentioned but unsatisfactory result. Iza has taken the reins of the situation, and decided on her mother's future, with good intentions but without considering her mother's preferences. Little by little, Mrs. Szöcs goes out due to the inert and abandoned life to which she has been confined in Budapest, until one day she decides to return to her village ...
