Anna is engaged to be married to the local undertaker - Mayor and is strictly prim and proper. But Louise is heartfree until Richard Hardy, a well known yachtsman comes into the picture. His advent causes a sensation within and without the Portal family circle, and the outcome is a sparkling novel.

The book has red boards and black lettering to the spine.

The dust jacket has been covered with a clear plastic sheet.

There is heavy wear and tear to the lower page edge of the dustjacket on the rear board.

There is wear and tear to the upper and lower part of the spine ofthe dustjacket.

There is wear and tear to the upper and lower page edges of the front of the dustjacket.

The book has foxing on the front and rear endpages and on page edges throughout the book.

There is bumping and wear and tear to the front boards lower and upper outer corner. There is bumping and wear and tear to the rear board lower outer corner.
