Ann and Franco Taruschio opened The Walnut Tree restaurant in South Wales in 1993, and since then it has won numerous accolades.  Elizabeth David declared that it was her favourite restaurant in Great Britain.  Leaves from The Walnut Tree, with an introduction by Jan Morris, is a collection of 200 of Franco Taruschio's highly individual recipes, with influences from worldwide cuisine.  The book is illustrated with the delightful wood engravings of Sarah van Niekerk, and there is a possible inscription by the authors on the half-title page.
