Biographia Britannica (1747-1766) (Anglistica & Americana).

Full title being "Biographia Britannica: Or, the Lives of the Most Eminent Persons who have Flourished in Great Britain and Ireland, from the earliest Ages, down to the present Times".

Facsimile of volumes 1-6 (the sixth is bound as two, making the set 7 physical volumes). Of the physical volumes, volume I is dated 1973, volume IV is dated 1970, and the remainder are dated 1969. All volumes in largely similar condition, being good / very good, with general light to moderate shelf wear, minor corner bumps to some volumes and light dust staining to edges of blocks. Volume I has a flattened spine. Owner's bookplates adhered to each volume's paste down, but otherwise clean, crisp and tightly bound contents throughout.

This marvellous piece of history comprises a weighty (12 Kg for all 7 volumes!) series of "Reprints, Selected by Bernhard Fabian, Edgar Mertner, Karl Schneider and Marvin Spevack".
