Three volume, large format boxed facsimile edition of the Cornwall section of the Domesday Book. The volumes are : Introduction and Translation (44pp); Book Studies (179pp) and Folios and Maps (unpaginated). The Book Studies are by seventeen academic experts and the Introduction and Translation is by Ian Soulsby and F. R. Thorn. This is number 391 of a limited edition of 1000 and includes a dedication board to H.M. The Queen and a hinged strip to convert the box into a lecturn. The box is well worn to the edges while the contents, including the three volumes and maps, are in excellent, as new condition.
