L'archéologie en Polynésie française (The archeology of French Polynesia)

£13.99

Product description

Please note: Text of this book is in French.

Critical review of the progress made in archeology since the end of the 1950s in French Polynesia, this work examines the major themes of Polynesian prehistory and proposes to analyze the models developed to account for the evolution of societies, since their establishment in the islands until they meet the West. The author identifies the objectives to be achieved in order to write the prehistory of these islands, underlines the need for a multidisciplinary approach and pleads in favor of an ethnoarchaeological approach. Finally, it endeavors to identify the perspectives and directions of research for the years to come.

There is very slight bumping to the covers of the book.  Otherwise, the book is in excellent condition throughout.
