Memoria colectiva del bombardeo de Gernika (Spanish Language) by Maria Jesus Cava Mesa

£29.99

Product description

This book is in a very good condition. The front cover has a few light scuff marks, while the back cover has some light indentations with the bottom right corner bumped. Internally the free front end paper has been signed in pen and there are occasional marginal pencil marks that do not interfere with the reading of the text. Otherwise the pages are all tight and clean.

(English translation): The dark vision in which the history of the bombing of Gernika was plunged, fortunately has been resolved for many years. What happened in 1937 in this town of Biscay, of such unquestionable symbolic value, allows us to say that history is not always written by the victors. The recovery of the collective memory, in the case of this investigation, I have made an great effort to achieve not so much the reconstruction of the facts, as the estimation of the subjective variables - mainly - of those who were witness. They remember it and convey their emotions. The desire to hear such voices, together with the idea of plurality and reconciliation are substantial arguments of this work. What is shown in this effort is the story without any objections, full of questions, but also the desire to gather some pieces of a historical scenario that highlights' the everyday ', arranged in history, so that this is' history of all '.
