Russia and the Allies 1917-1920: The Allies and the Russian Collapse

£70.00

Product description

As the third year of the Great War began in 1917, czarist Russia was a crucial part of the alliance against Germany and Austro-Hungary.  Though the other two allies, Britain and France, hard pressed on the Western Front, could not count on aggression from the war-weary Russian army, they depended vitally on its presence to keep the Second Front open in the East, and to deny to Germany the food and raw materials of Southern Russia.
