The History of the World: From Pre-History to the 21st Century - Korean Edition

£13.99

Product description

This book, written in Korean, tells the history of the world.  Beginning with early nomadic hunter-gatherers, it then goes on to look at the ancient civilisations such as Egypt, Babylon and the Indus Valley as well as others in China and America.  It then goes through different time periods, looking at major civilisations throughout those times; not just the Greeks, Romans etc, but also China and the Maya of Central America.  Going through the ages, the book looks at events across the world; from the fall of the Roman Empire to the Islamic Golden Age, the expansion of the Ottoman Empire to the rise of Protestantism, the European conquests of America and the birth of the United States, the French Revolution, the US Civil War and the Industrial Revolution, the War of Italian Unification, the Meiji Restoration in Japan, World War One and the Chinese Civil War.  It goes on to World War Two, the fall of colonial empires and the beginning of the Cold War, the rise of civil rights and racial and gender equality and the development of technology leading to space exploration.  All of this is supported by photographs and other illustrations both in colour and black and white.  The book is in very good condition, with only minor damage to the dust jacket.  Internally the pages are clean, the binding strong and the illustrations clear.
