Product description

450 pp, hardback, no dust jacket. Blue cloth-covered boards, embossed with 'anchors' design on front; spine is titled in gilt over a red back-print rectangle. Top of page-block is dyed blue, but is dusty and faded. Some surface scuffing and dirt marks, especially on front cover. Binding is reasonably tight, but slightly cocked. Pages are clean and bright, free of any marks or annotations.
"The Greenwich Volume... A Catalogue of Drawings in the National Maritime Museum, made by the Elder and the Younger Willem Van De Velde..." Extensive chronological catalogue, with 169 b/w plates showing the drawings in the collection. Appendices include b/w line drawings of Coats of Arms, watermarks and types of vessels.
