History Through the Eyes of the Crocodile. People. Events. Words. 1922-1937 (Russian)

£90.00

Product description

In Russian, History Through the Eyes of the Crocodile, a three-volume set chronicling history as seen by the Soviet satirical magazine Crocodile. The set covers the period from 1922 to 1937, with each volume looking at a different area: People, events, and words. While the text is in Russian, the books are almost entirely examples of cartoons from Crocodile magazine, giving a fascinating insight into the satirical art and history of the period.

The three book set is presented in a wrap around slip-case. Overall the books are in fantastic condition, appearing unread. One volume does have a slight tear at the bottom of the spine. And the glue on the slipcase has come undone, so the case is loose; there is also a small tear on one side of the slipcase. Otherwise the books are just about perfect.

This beautifully presented set of books should be of interest to those fascinated by history, politics, and art alike.
