Invitation - Sylvie Guillem

£250.00

Product description

A beautiful collection of photographs of the international ballet star, and the finest dancer of her generation. The photographs, taken by her husband Gilles Tapie, present an amazing portrait of both the private and professional lives of this most elusive of celebrities. A truly unique book and a must-have for fans and anyone interested in stunning photographs of stunning dancers.

A very large hardback in dust jacket, not price-clipped. Very good plus/Very good. 432 pages containing 362 images with an introduction in French, English and Japanese.

The jacket has yellowed down the spine, and in two wide bands across the top of the front. There is some minor edge wear to the jacket, plus some light scratches on the back. The front and back boards have yellowed along the top edge (the top edge of the page block is unaffected), the front endpaper has two parallel light folds, a very heavy book but the binding is sound, and the images are close to as new throughout.

Size 29 x 4.5 x 39.5 cm.
