Although he is best remembered today for his world-famous Rubaiyat, Ghiyath al-Din Abu'l-Fath Umar ibn Ibrahim Al-Nisaburi al-Khayyami (1048-1131) was also an accomplished mathematician and astronomer. Hakim Omar Khayyam is a collection of quatrains, including the Rubaiyat, in the original Persian text with English and French translations. The English text is by Edward Fitzgerald, with the French translation by Jhiber Lazar. This is a limited edition publication. The interior of the book looks like ancient scrolls and also features Persian miniature illustrations.
