The story of Alan Cotton, from the boy whose Mother made brushes from her own hair to having sell out shows in the West End and paintings in the Royal Collection, is an inspirational one.  This particular exhibition, in association with Messum's Fine Art of Cork Street London, was held at the Walker Galleries, Sidbury Mill and gives a rare opportunity to see a collection of his travel paintings from Italy, Ireland, France, Cyprus and the UK.  Art historian Jenny Pery writes " The physical, tactile quality of Alan Cotton's paint tempts the fingertips and leads the viewer along intriguing visual pathways."
