Fire Engines in colour

£5.99

Product description

Published circa 1972 (undated) by Blandford Press in its Blandford Colour Series. Hardback. Red cloth board covers. Blue and white dust jacket.

This is probably a former library copy, as the dust jacket has a protective cellophane cover and has been glued to the book, obscuring the first seven pages. Apart from some wrinkling of the jacket and age-toning of the inside pages, the book is in quite good condition. The binding is secure.

If fire engines appeal to you (or the young people you know), you will enjoy the black and white drawings and the many colour plates showing the development of fire engines from early times to the start of the 1970s. Denis Bishop's book covers some 200m machines from the UK, the USA and around the world.
