KNOW YOUR AIRLINERS - SHELL-MEX AND BP LTD

£10.00

Product description

Published by Perry Colour Books for Shell-Mex and BP, London, this slim paperback volume is undated but is likely to be c.1957. Overall, it is in a reasonable used condition. It is illustrated in colour throughout, with full-page paintings by Roy Cross. The card covers are discoloured (yellowed). There are a few scuffs and scratches on the front cover and the back cover is quite heavily marked. The spine is rubbed and the staples are rusting. The edges of the pages are grubby and there is some staining at the foot of some of the middle pages. However, this is a fascinating and attractive guide to aircraft at the time. It gives the details of 28 airliners, each with a full-page colour illustration, text and three-view silhouette opposite. In addition there is a double page of airline badges, and a double page of illustrations of aircraft service vehicles.
