The last liners of the White Star Line

£40.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

Books about any White Star vessels other than Titanic are few and far between, with the lesser known liners meriting perhaps a few pages at best. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this book dedicated to the Britannic and the Georgic; as the last ships built for White Star they're not insignificant, and it's interesting to consider how things may have played out if circumstances had been a bit kinder. While not quite a picture history there are certainly more than enough photographs of both vessels - and a good number of pictures of contemporary ships as well, usually to provide comparison or expand on the general story. None of these are in colour; there are a lot of latter-day photos of both ships in colour but those reproduced here are done so in black and white.
