De Restitutione Patriae

£19.99

Product description

Both book and wrapper are in fine condition, with just a hint of a fold at the head of the wrapper spine. This is the second, 1990 edition, a revised and corrected version of the first edition, which was published by Casamassima in 1990. The work was originally written at the end of 15th century and is a commentary by a noble resident of Cividale that reflects the bitter rivalry between Cividale and Udine. In addition to the text there are notes and commentary by Paolo Mantovanelli, Cesare Scalon and Cristina Moro. At the back of the book a series of pages gives a photocopy of the full original manuscript.
