Feminist Writing in post-colonial societies deals with problems that arise from women's roles and status on the former colonial period. Important as these themes are, they do not exclude an interest in the general critical debate on the subject of women's writing and feminist strategies. Socialist feminism, radical feminism, lesbianism, woman and class, and the linguistic debate are all also dealt with in these essays.
Apart from personal statements, critical articles and interviews, this volume also contains fiction and poetry.
