Ouderen in verpleeghuizen en verzorgingshuizen - Elderly people in nursing and care homes

£5.99

Product description

For the most vulnerable and elderly in society, there have been homes for centuries where these people can receive shelter, food and care. Nowadays these are nursing and care homes. However, much has changed in this sector in recent years. Many care homes are closed and the rest are combined with nursing homes. In addition, the policy is aimed at ensuring that the elderly live independently at home for as long as possible. Partly because of this, nowadays it is mainly the people with the greatest care needs who are cared for in the homes. In this report, we look at the group of elderly people who live in nursing and care homes and discuss a number of important aspects of their living situation. The data used for this study were collected in the period April 2015 - April 2016. Questions addressed in this study are: Why did the nursing and care home residents move to the institution? How is their health? How often do they interact with their friends and family? Do they receive help from them in daily activities, in addition to the help of professionals?

Excellent pages, minor edge and cover wear.
