Reflections of a Statesman. The Writings and Speeches of Enoch Powell

£115.00

Product description

Reflections of a Statesman. The Writings and Speeches of Enoch Powell - Rex Collings (ed).

Bellew Publishing, first edition 1991. pp 655

Dust jacket in blue with custard title panels. There are creases and crinkles along the bottom edges but no tears; an obvious and unsightly wound to the front face that has gone right through the paper.

Blue cloth boards, very good but a little discoloured from sunning to the tops and otherwise fine. Text block perfect: 655 pages of unread delight for the political historian. Many insights into the great man's soul: his Desert Island Discs luxury would have been a fish smoker.

Numerous interviews, speeches and conversations. An uncommon title in outstanding condition (but for the jacket, which cries out for a sleeve).

Volunteer listed

Wonder how this unique item ended up online?

Most of the second-hand items you see online have been donated, by supporters like you, to our high street stores. Each item is then priced, photographed and listed on this site by our amazing team of volunteers from across the country.

After you have bought your item, our team of volunteers package and dispatch it from the Shop straight to you or your chosen recipient.

All profits from the sales of our goods go towards funding Oxfam's work around the world. We rely on your donations to sell online so please keep the cycle of goodness going!

Oxfam Bookshop Market Harborough

Oxfam is the UK's largest second hand bookseller. Oxfam bookshops offer a wider selection of books than most shops, from modern fiction and leisure interest to more specialist subjects, classics, and rare or collectable books. We also stock an attractive range of greetings cards and a good selection of stationery. Come and browse!

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
