Fishermen's Weather by Upwards of One Hundred Living Anglers. Published in 1906 by Adam and Charles Black, London. The book is a collation of information, anecdote and opinion' from over 100 anglers of 'recognised qualification for answering such an inquiry'. The author has presented this in a fully indexed book so that 'anyone can ascertain at a glance the most or least favourable weather conditions for any given fish in a number of well-known waters'. Chapter headings include: Subshine; of Rain and incidentally of Hail and Sleet; of Frost and Snow; of Wind; of Thunder and Lightening, of Fog and Mist; and Best and Worst Weather (Spring and Autumn) for certain waters. With 8 colour illustrations of paintings by Charles Whymper.
Overall the book is in good condition. The blue cloth boards are marked and there is fading and bumping to the corners. The Frontispiece illustration has however become detached.
