A fascinating an attractive book, which describes the numerous exotic flowers of Sri Lanka, with each description is a colour photograph of the plant. Includes a bibliography an various indexes.

The book was given as a gift in 1997, possibly from the author, to Prof. David Weatherall.

This book was kindly donated to the shop by the Weatherall family. Sir David John Weatherall, GBE, FRS (1933 – 2018) was a British physician and researcher in molecular genetics, haematology, pathology and clinical medicine. He founded the Institute of Molecular Medicine at Oxford, which was renamed the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine in his honour in 2000 upon his retirement.

Complete with dust jacket which is lightly marked. Fresh and clean throughout, light foxing spots on a couple of the pages.
