310 pp., including index, with three-leaf fold-out family tree in place at p. 292. Hardcover with laminated pictorial boards, no dust jacket. The spine-ends are slightly bumped, the top edge of the page block has some light marks, and three of the pages have a few wrinkles next to the right-hand edge (the text is not affected). The binding is a little flexible, but sound, and the text and images are unmarked throughout.
