The only feature-length document of the coronation to be filmed in Technicolor, the programme offers a glimpse into the pomp and ceremony of the occasion and approaches the event with a celebratory air. As well as footage of the ceremony itself, held at Westminster Abbey, coverage of the subsequent procession through London, with the streets lined with thousands of spectators, is included. Castleton Knight directs and produces, with music from Guy Warrack.
