Disney's animated version of the Robin Hood tale, with Robin (voice of Brian Bedford) characterised as a fox, Allan-a-Dale (Roger Miller) a rooster, Little John (Phil Harris) a bear, Friar Tuck (Andy Devine) a badger and the Sheriff of Nottingham (Pat Buttram) a wolf. Robin and his merry band rob from the rich and give to the poor while England is ruled by the corrupt King John (Peter Ustinov) (a lion) and his snake advisor Hiss (Terry-Thomas). As the King continues to raise the taxes of the poor, Robin and his gang spring into action in a bid to put an end to his evil schemes.
