Legendary recordings from the Deutsche Grammaphon LP Catalogue, digitally remastered in 2001 from the original mastertapes. Features 3 recordings from the mid 20th century, allowing listeners to acquaint themselves with two of the leading violinists of their day, Erica Morini and Johanna Martzy, and also with the work of the RIAS Symphony Orchestra of Berlin, with chief conductor Ferenc Fricsay. Specific pieces include Antonin Dvorak's Violin Concerto in A minor, Op.53, recorded in 1953 with Johanna Martzy playing the violin, and two pieces recorded in 1958 with Erica Morini as the soloist ; Max Bruch's Concerto for Violin op.26 and Alexander Glazunov's Concerto for Violin op.82. Comes with multilingual booklet notes, in good condition with no damage to the disc.
