MAHLER: SYMPHONY No.4 Klemperer - SAX2441

£14.99

Product description

MAHLER: SYMPHONY No.4

The fourth symphony is probably the most attractive introduction to Mahler's orchestral music, being the shortest and least intense of his symphonies. It was completed in 1900 and is closely linked to the preceding third symphony. The finale quotes from the Angel's Song from that work, in a setting for soprano soloist, here sung radiantly by Elizabeth Schwarzkopf.

SIDE 1
1. Heiter, bedachtig. Nicht eilen
2. Im gemachlicher Bewegung

SIDE 2
3. Ruhevoll
4. Sehr behaglich

Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, soprano
The Philharmonia Orchestra
Conductor: Otto Klemperer

The sleeve is GOOD, consistent with age; slight damage to rear cover.
Record graded visually to RRPG grade EXCELLENT.
We recommend that the record is cleaned by a professional to maximise the sound quality.
