A Guide To Trollope
Geoffrey Cumberlege (OUP) and Princeton University Press, 1948. First edition, printed in USA. With dust jacket and protective plastic sleeve. pp256.
Grey and gold jacket, badly worn and frayed, with several pieces missing. Rescued by its new wrapper. Plum boards, dusty and faded, with modest gilt titles to spine. Corners and spine all strong; inner hinges good. Paste downs and ffeps all tanned and lightly foxed; page edges likewise; page tops edged in plum.
Block is only very mildly tanned, with nice bright text and clear line illustrations, farm diagrams, sketches etc.
The book is well used but has been looked after too.
23 pages of lists of stories, characters etc followed by comprehensive guide to all things Trollope - all the locations, all the characters. Indispensable to the Trollope connoisseur
