This a hardback with a matt-finish. It is undated, however, it does have a ISBN number and is priced at 40p so probably, published circa. early 1980s.
From the blurb;
"Although much of the countryside is covered with farms and towns, there are still lots of wild animals to be seen if we keep our eyes open and watch patiently. Even in the parks of our large cities, Squirrels may be seen playing in the trees or Bats flying around at dusk.
Many wild animals are hunters by night, spending the day asleep in their hide-outs. Others, like Field Voles and Shrews, mostly keep out of sight, while Bats and Dormice sleep most of the winter.
So most of these creatures, both large and small, are more difficult to watch than birds ; but if we really try we can spot some of them and study their habits."
Excellent pages with slight edge-wear.
