£14.99

Product description

Joseph Bibby (1851-1940) was an English industrialist and member of the Theosophical Society based in Adyar, Chennai, India He is best known as the editor of Bibby's Annual.  The articles were his way of helping the Theosophical Society, though he also gave large sums of money, too, he would visit museams and picture galleries of all kinds to find pictures to reproduce in his magazine. Because he would accept no advertisements, he lost money on his journal. It had a circulation all over the world of about one million. As far away as New Zealand. This was the final edition  published in 1922.
The covers are bright and clean although showing wear on the spine.  Illustrated throughout in colour and black and white.  A very good copy for its age.

Oxfam Books & Music Olney

Welcome to Oxfam Books And Music Olney, situated just off the market square in Stanley Court opposite the Co-op. Come and browse our extensive selection of books, music, DVDs, computer games and cards. In our shop you can discover a great range of material from the latest modern fiction to classic literature and vintage LPs. We are always happy to receive your donations of books or music, and you can choose to Gift Aid them to Oxfam. We might also be able to collect particularly large donations - just ask. We are always interested in hearing from people who wish to volunteer with us. Just pop in to collect an application form.

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
