This book reproduces in facsimile with added scholarly notes and essays a scrapbook made as a birthday present for 3-year old Christine Stampe by her grandfather, Adolph Drewsen 1803-1885 , and his friend, the author Hans Christian Andersen 1805-1875 . 

Andersen's contributions to the scrapbook included numerous rhymes and other inscriptions and five elaborate papercuts. His verses are provided in Danish and in English. The work reproduces in colour numerous examples of 19th-century illustrations and other printed matter that were cut and assembled into the scrapbook. 

This book is in very good condition but please look at the pictures.   There is not a dust jacket with this book.
