Comandante Durán

£25.00

Product description

The story of one man involved in the Spanish Civil War. The subtitle of the book is Leyenda y tragedia de un intellectual en armas.
Debate hardback with intact DJ. Entirely in Spanish. There is a little damage at the lower end of the hinge cover, probably by bookworm but there is only the tiniest evidence of damage to the underlying book itself at the lower end of the spine cover. Red cloth covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. End pages plain red. Black and white photographs at centre of book. First 6 pages in the very bottom corner have some red marks, possibly from a bit dampness on the ffep. Good binding and no marks.

Enclosed a letter (in English) concerning several intellectuals in relation to the text; also a Spanish print of a paper possibly presented at a meeting, and an invitation to the wedding of Cheli Durán in November 1963. Cheli features in the English letter and her husband was Michael Dibbs. All intriguing!

***Please note - this book is entirely written in Spanish***
