De Philosophia, volumen secundum

£150.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

Together with the work of the Roman orator (pages 4-258, numbered on the recto only), the book also contains a school manual written by Paolo Manuzio (pages not numbered). It is bound in vellum (date of binding not known), with an abbreviated version of the title and the name of the publisher handwritten on the spine in black ink.

The binding is tight, and considering the age of the book the pages are generally in very good condition. Just a few are heavily tanned and there is some foxing. Slight tears at the page edges were very neatly mended some considerable time ago. There are a few faded pen markings, likewise dating from some time back.
