'as related in her letters and journals', arranged and edited by her husband J.W. Cross. Three volume set, published 1885. With two plates, of George Eliot and of her father, Robert Evans.
Hardbacks, brown cloth boards slightly shabby, spines very frayed at head and foot, all volumes marked inside ex-Aberdare Hall Library. Vol I front boards and spine are loose, but attached, title page and Eliot plate also detached. Other internal bindings are sound in all three volumes, but boards are loosening. See photos.
