The memoirs of George Thomas, Speaker of the House of Commons for seven years from 1976-1983.
There is a signature and dedication pasted onto the title page. Taped inside the dustjacket is an envelope addressed the recipient which also appears to be in the same hand with the House of Commons Coat of Arms on the back and is the right size to have contained the signed pasted plate.
The unclipped dustjacket has been protected with transparent adhesive film. The hardback cover is in good condition with only light shelfwear. The binding is sound and the pages unmarked.
Published 1985, this copy is a reprint from the same year.
