Health and Beauty for Children

£14.99

Product description

First published in 1937 as part of Blackies Sports Series, this book is full of exercises designed to improve the health of children. The beauty refers to the beauty of a healthy body through fresh air, exercise, obedience and self-discipline. It opens with several chapters on the general welfare of children and progresses to exercise regimes. An interesting feature is the use of "flicker book" technology to demonstrate exercises. The final chapter extols the virtues of the Women's League for Health and Beauty.
Although the cover bears evidence of earlier moisture damage and the red boards are slightly blotchy on the front and back, as are the end papers, plus internally there is some slackening of the stitching, the block is intact and all text and b/w photographs are clear on clean pages.
