La Mythologie Mise a La Portée de Tout le Monde

£700.00

Product description

La Mythologie Mise a La Portée de Tout le Monde
(Mythology placed within the reach of everyone)

A Paris, chez Deterville Libraire, Rue de Carmes, No. 26
Published 1793

Complete set of twelve volumes.
Brown calfskin covers with simple gilt trim. Spines decorated with pretty gilt motifs and red leather inlaid title plates. Gilt to to fore edges, still bright.
Spine of Vol 6 has suffered the worst and has 25% missing; volume 7 about 15%. The others are much better, but still very worn.

Paper quality is obviously very good to have survived this long, very little discolouration through foxing or tanning.
The series has a total of 108 full colour illustrations that are still wonderfully bright and evocative to the genre.

Volunteer listed

Wonder how this unique item ended up online?

Most of the second-hand items you see online have been donated, by supporters like you, to our high street stores. Each item is then priced, photographed and listed on this site by our amazing team of volunteers from across the country.

After you have bought your item, our team of volunteers package and dispatch it from the Shop straight to you or your chosen recipient.

All profits from the sales of our goods go towards funding Oxfam's work around the world. We rely on your donations to sell online so please keep the cycle of goodness going!

Oxfam Bookshop Market Harborough

Oxfam is the UK's largest second hand bookseller. Oxfam bookshops offer a wider selection of books than most shops, from modern fiction and leisure interest to more specialist subjects, classics, and rare or collectable books. We also stock an attractive range of greetings cards and a good selection of stationery. Come and browse!

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
