This English language edition has been abridged by the translators under the supervision of Professors Venancio Minondo and Terestita Cecilia Moglo.

The life story of Quinquela Martin, the South American artist. Not wishing to write an autobiography, he instead choose to tell his life story to Andres Munoz. The first edition appeared in 1949 but in Martin's words he continued to live and he continued to tell his story. This is the fourth edition published in 1968 some five years after the death of Monoz; at that stage Jose Maria Samperio took over the writing.

There is some light wear with foxing on the covers, however internally the book is in a decent clean condition with sound binding.
