This book is one of the
author's children's books featuring an assortment of animals and woodland
creatures. From an advertisement:-A spirited story of the animals that inhabit
the Windflower Wood-the thrushes, whose house in the holly tree disappears
overnight; Police Constable Crow, who isn't very successful in solving the
mystery; Dr. Heron, the schoolmaster; and many others. Most important of all is
Mac, the terrier puppy, whose thrilling adventures include a rescue of Fluffy,
the kitten, from a watery grave, a false charge by an irascible farmer of
sheep-murder, and a trial scene full of suspense, from which he gallops away
with his alibi in his mouth. 

 There is signs of
wear on the cover and edges, the spine is faded and there is some
discolouration on the inside. but overall in good condition.
