Publisher: J.M. Dent and Sons ltd, London, 1942, revised and re-issued edition (1st publ 1918). Hardback, 71 pages, no jacket, illus with 8 b/w photo plates. Cover, in blue cloth boards with silver titling to spine, is in sound, clean and firm condition with some fading to spine and top edge. Internally the book is in good, clean, firm condition with light tanning to pages and a little foxing to front endpaper commensurate with age. Small neat signature on ffep dated 'XII - 42'. Fascinating and well illustrated study of the architecture, planning, sociology and economic and industrial benefits of the New Town and Garden City concepts (which were already being put into practice when this revised edition was published).
