The book does not have a dust jacket. There is bumping to the top and bottom of the spine and the corners. There is discolouration to the spine and fading to the edges of the blue cloth boards where they meet the spine. The silver medallion decoration of King George V and Queen Mary on the front cover has minimal wear. There is a previous owner's presentation label on the front pastedown. The hinges are generally tight however there is some discolouration in the hinges on some pages. The pages and page ends are lightly foxed however the pages, illustrations and colour plates are clean.
