Orange buckram covered boards with framed borders containing the title and an art deco style image of a liner and two globes. Each volume has a different image on the spine.

Some wear to the edges, mainly along the spine, the spines are sunned.

Volume 2 has a light stain on the front board and a crease down the half-title page.

Some foxing mainly confined to a few early and final pages.

Some corners bumped.

All page edges are speckled with red dots (intentionally).

All hinges and binding in very good order.

No inscriptions or other marking.

Some foxing to the first and last few pages of each volume, the main text is largely unaffected.
