The book is in very good condition. The binding is good. It does not come with a
dust jacket. The outer case is coated in green cloth, which is mostly intact,
aside from two 25 x 25mm stains, and some shelf wear, which is particularly
noticeable on the headbands of the spine. The block print style text and
emblems on the front and rear are still bold and visible. The fore-edges are
all in good conditions, and are lightly browned, with some foxing. The back
case board is misshapen and bends outwards from the rest of the book and away
from the fore-edge. The two corners of the board on both sides are bent inwards
towards the fore-edge.
On the inside, the inner leaves are in good shape, with faint foxing throughout,
and only minimal signs of wear. The inside case and outer endpapers are coated
in a classic floral pattern, which is particularly stained on the inner papers,
the front spread reveals two small splits (approx. 5mm) down the inner hinge.
The first endpaper has a crease at the bottom. In the top margin of the title
page, inscribed in pencil, appears to be "Weston-s-Mare Bril. Sch. / 1905."
