Product description

R J Lloyd: A Retrospective Exhibition of Selected Works
With a preface by Ted Hughes and an introduction by Bevis Hillier

Soft-bound; 210 x 300 mm; viii & 86 pages; profusely illustrated. No dust jacket.

The book is in fine condition.

Reginald James Lloyd was born in Hereford in 1926. His work is included in collections of the Tate Britain, Victoria & Albert Museum, and the National Maritime Museum, London, and many other municipal and private collections. Self taught, he has encompassed a wide oeuvre, primarily painting but also in stained glass, stone carving, murals and book illustration (including poems by his friend Ted Hughes). But it is his wonderful print-making and particularly his mid-century work which particularly appeal.
