Second Trimester Pregnancy Termination - Boerhaave Series Vol. 22

£125.00

Product description

This hardcover book is in very good condition overall. The cover of the book has some minor wear to the edges and corners. Inside, the pages of the book are clean and without significant issue. The book has been stamped on the inside front cover page.

'There is a growing need for adequate information on suitable methods for termination of pregnancy in the second trimester, including complications, potential risks and long term effects. This volume provides that information; it deals at length with the comparative merits of the currently favoured alternative techniques, though it does not expand on methods, such as termination hysterotomy and hysterectomy, which should be superseded bya more appropriate procedure. Consideration is given to the historical, demographic and legal aspects of termination of pregnancy in the second trimester, providing a perspective which may prove fruitful in focusing attention on the overall significance of the second trimester procedure as a major problem in pregnancy termination. Additionally, awareness of the factors responsible for delay in securing abortion and the provision of immediate post-abortal contraception are discusses as matters of importance which may help reduce the magnitude of the problem.'
