Selection of 10 1930s/40s paperbacks

£35.00

Product description

Ten paperback novels published in the 1930s/40s - the majority of titles are scarce now in this form so it is hard to trace exact dates, but one of them Cappy Ricks was published in 1933, and the others are likely to be similar dates. The quality of the paper is poor so inevitably the books are fragile. They are from the Hodder and Stoughton Yellow Jacket range.
1. Cappy Ricks by Peter B. Kyne 1933
2. Johnny Nelson by Clarence E. Mulford a Bar-20 novel (Western)
These 2 books have complete spines and fronts and backs - covers a bit worn and pages yellowed but otherwise in reasonable condition and not foxed inside.
3. The Mischief-Maker by E. Phillips Oppenheim
4. Jake Canuke by George Goodchild
5. How Now McLean by George Goodchild
6.. Broken Off by Mrs Baillie Reynolds
7. Kitty Sees Life by May Christie
8. Me an' Shorty by Clarence E. Mulford
9. Hopalong Cassidy Returns by Clarence E. Mulford
10. The Big Shot by Frank L. Packard
This group of 8 books in not so good condition. The ones numbered 4 to 7 have covers front and back attached but worn, and some but not all of the spine paper remaining. The pages look complete as far as I can tell and have yellowing but no foxing. The books numbered 8 to 10 are in the least good condition. The back covers of 8, 9 and 10 are missing, and the front cover of 8 is detached. There is some foxing on the pages of this group. The binding is fragile but all the text pages appear to be complete as far as I can see. No 7 has front and back cover but the binding is fragile.
