£24.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Iliffe & Sons for issue by The Amateur Photographer magazine, London, undated edition, 12mo, vi+260 pages and xxii pages of ads, illustrated by B&W line drawings and photographs within the text.

A guide book from the early days of amateur movie making using 9.5 mm film which covers the selection of equipment, taking pictures, processing and editing the film, and projecting and showing the finished product. Around the time of the publication of this book 9.5 mm film was growing in popularity alongside 8mm and 16 mm film. Subsequently, it became less popular than 8 mm film, which was taken up by the wider public, and has a lesser place in the history of cinematography. Nevertheless it retains a small following and this book provides a fascinating insight into the history of amateur movie making.

Good condition. Green cloth boards with black text to front and spine. Boards show light rubbing to edges and minor bumping. Except for some silver splashes to the Contents page (see photo) and page v, pages are clean and undamaged. Binding is sound. No dust jacket.
