Black cloth covered book with gilt titles on the spine.  The cover is in very good condition.  The dust jacket shows some signs of wear with some bending along the upper and lower edges and some creasing to the front.  Internally the book is clean, bright and tightly bound.  The book is illustrated with drawings and photographs.  First published in the UK in 2005 by Sutton Publishing.
Using his extraordinary "Journeys in Upper and Lower Egypt", published in 1802, as the basis for a vivid and moving account of the discovery of ancient Egypt, the author tells the story of Vivant Denon's travels in Egypt.
